RICHMOND, VA – Del. Marcia “Cia” Price (95th District) and her 99 colleagues in the Virginia House of Delegates received their committee assignments during Thursday’s Session. For the 2018 General Assembly Legislative Session, Price was selected to serve on the General Laws Committee, and continue to serve on the Privileges and Elections Committee and the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee. In her work on these committees, she will seek to make the Commonwealth an even better and healthier place to live, work, play, and raise a family.

In reaction to the assignments, Price said, “I am honored to serve the citizens of the 95th District and my work in Richmond will be focused on improving their lives. My appreciation goes to Speaker Kirk Cox for these assignments. I look forward to working with my colleagues in our task to assess and promote legislation that will positively impact actual lives.”

Price was elected in November 2017 to her second term in the House of Delegates. She serves as Secretary for the House Democratic Caucus and the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus. Price is also a member of the Hampton Roads Caucus and the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.

The House of Delegates is scheduled to be in session until March 10, 2018. They meet during the week in Richmond, Virginia at the Virginia State Capitol and the Pocahontas Building.
