Transitions Family Violence Services Executive Director Sanu Dieng joined the call to talk about the work that they do. She shared that their 24 hour hotline is fully operational but they have had to suspend their in-person support groups. They do have emergency housing but are close to capacity so they are working with community partners including hotels. They are still going to court proceedings to help those that are a part of emergency court cases for family violence. They also have ways of helping those who need it even if they are sick. As was predicted, the stay at home orders have led to an increase in domestic violence. Their hotline's call volume is already up and so they are asking the community to check on our people. If you see something, speak up. Let's be sure to help each other.

- Wednesdays 10am-12pm Accepting ONLY Requested Items.
- You can use delivery services for groceries and items and send them to 240 Chapel St, Hampton, VA 23669.
- If you are taking items to them, call them first at 757-722-2261 and then head to 240 Chapel St, Hampton, VA 23669. Then call again once you arrive.
