Pre-Reconvene Office Hours

We want to hear from you as Reconvene Session approaches. On Wednesday, April 5th, Del. Price and her colleagues in the Virginia General Assembly will be voting on vetoes, recommendations, and amendments from Governor McAuliffe.  Before that, let's discuss how you would vote if you were Delegate! We also can talk about navigating governmental systems for services, brainstorm ideas for solutions to issues in our area, discuss the legislative process, and more! Delegate for a Day: Reconvene Edition

Delegate Price will host her first "Delegate for a Day" on Wednesday, April 5th for Reconvene Session in Richmond, VA at the General Assembly Building and the VA State Capitol. Come see what Delegates do during Reconvene Session while learning more about the legislative process. Follow Delegate Price while she celebrates the Governor signing one of her bills and meets with other legislators. Then watch session as the full House of Delegates takes votes on the Governor's vetoes and amendments to laws the General Assembly passed during the legislative session. The day will begin at 8am and go until session ends that afternoon/evening. Participants must be 18 years or older and must provide their own transportation to Richmond.

Delegate for a Day: Spring Break Edition

Delegate Price will host "Delegate for a Day: Spring Break Edition" on Friday, April 7th for youth ages 14-18.  Come spend the afternoon with Delegate Price to learn more about state level government, hear about what a Delegate does, offer your perspective on current events, and make a plan for advocacy!  This event is free, lunch will be provided, and there are limited spaces.  Youth must have parents' permission to register.  For questions, please call Tempestt at 757-266-5935.

Spring Town Hall w/ Del. Price

South Morrison Family Education Center Cafeteria - Here, we will discuss the bills that have passed the General Assembly in 2017 and will become law in July 2017.  These new laws will affect your life and we want to help you learn about the changes coming soon.  We will provide free youth activities for the first 20 youth by request for this event for youth ages 5-17.  We work to host engaging educational events! Join us to learn more about the legislative process.

Delegate for a Day: District Work Edition

am-4pm Heritage High School & Downing Gross Center

Delegate Price will host "Delegate for a Day: District Work Edition" on Saturday, April 22nd for participants 16 years or older.  Come spend the day with Delegate Price to see more of the community work she does while not in session.  We will start at Heritage High School for a presentation on civic engagement with a group of local youth, we will then participate in the 9th Annual Community Empowerment Fair hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Lambda Omega Chapter at Heritage High School, we will then conclude at Downing Gross Cultural Arts Center to discuss ways citizens can become more involved in the community.  This event is free and there are limited spaces.  Participants must provide their own transportation and participants under 18 must have parents' permission to register.  For questions, please call Tempestt at 757-266-5935.
